Disney Fantasy- Day 5


    Day 5- 5/2/12
    Cozumel


    We all met and had Breakfast at the Enchanted Garden Buffet at 9:30.

    After  breakfast, we continued to work on some quick Music Video shooting and fun with the Royal Castaways.


       
    We also saw the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique set up for pirates night!  Very cool



 



                                 
        
                                 

    It was then time for Kara's favorite movie - Tangled 3D- in the Buena Vista Theater.   All attended and for many of the group it was a first time to see Tangled and they loved it!  :)

    It was then Lunch in Cabanas.   The primary goal was to get shrimp for our video shoot for a shrimp peeling video. We learned that Arlene has a fool proof method to eat shrimp without ever touching them to peel.

    Aqualab and pool time on deck 12 forward for Rachel and Kara.   David took pictures and video.



     Roberta, Larry and Jeannie were with us and took pics and relaxed in loungers.

    Afterwards, we stopped for Ice cream at frozone after sun and fun!

    Arl and Wil saw their second movie of day-  War Horse.
    Paul- only he knows what he did and he isn't sharing. LOL...

    The Gang then relaxed in their rooms for an hour...

    We went to the Minkins room to film two videos for the behind scenes section of our DVD.

    Roberta & Larry, Arl and Wil & Paul saw Disneynature chimpanzee  movie in the Walt Disney Theater and enjoyed it.

    Rachel, Kara, David and Jeannie saw characters:
    • Pirate Stitch
    • Pirate Mickey
    • Pirate Goofy
    • Pirate Donald



    We then headed to Studio D to see the Pirate game show.   We had a fun time.  It was interactive and high energy.   Kara seemed to enjoy!




     Then we went up to Deck 11 pool stage to see the Pirates In The Carinbean character stage show.  It was very good and Kara had a great time.








    We had Pirate night dinner in Animators Palate.   It is a great place for Pirate night dinner because they show the sketches and paintings from the Disney Parks rides and Disney movies that deal with pirates!  
    David had pineapple, honeydew and watermelon cold soup (which is outrageous) and beef w Dijon crust.   
    Rachel had caesar salad, the short ribs (which Wil declared the best he has ever had)
    Kara had kids pizza.




                                                       









    After dinner, it was time for the Pirates Fireworks, Buccaneer Blast, which are always great.







    Kara fell asleep literally two seconds after fireworks ended.  She waited to see them end.



    She then joined Grandma and Grandpa in their cabin to sleep so Rachel and David could go on the Aquaduck at night.  It was very cool and the first pirate movie was on at the time!


    Then it was off to sleep...

Coronado Springs Resort Refurbished Room 2018

We got to stay in a refurbished room at the Coronado Springs Resort in late July 2018. The area we were in is known as Casitas 2.   Casitas 2 is closer to the main building, as preferred, but starting to get a little further away.  Not as far as the other areas. From what I can tell these areas were the first to be refurbished as the resort is still going through the existing room refurbishment. The entire resort is getting its own extreme makeover. Besides the guest rooms, the common areas and restaurants are getting a new look as well as the pool area later this year.  In addition they are  building a brand new 15 story tower with new rooms as well.  The theme is the southwest.  They are toning down the heavy theme and making the rooms more upscale for the heavy convention clientele as this has one of the largest convention areas on property. Disney Fantasy Day 7

Day 7 - 5/4 Castaway Cay The name Castaway Cay should say it all... We woke up and got ready to go to the Island. All ashore was just before 9:30 am and we headed right out.  The entire Royal Castaway group rented Cabana #5. (thank you Rachel!   It was not available due to our late booking of the cruise and then low and behold, it opened up!  YEAH!) We arrived at the Cabana and immediately loved the location.  Our last Cabana was #11 and we loved it too and thought it was the perfect location!  But this was closer to the main food and bathroom areas.   As well as having beach chairs and loungers right in front of the Cabana.   Close to the free tubes and rafts as well.  The view was awesome as well.  Right beyond a full palm tree was the ship directly ahead. Mariner of the Seas Live Blog: The Drive to Miami

The day started nice and early.  We all got restful sleep and got up and finished packing. Our daughter K was so excited when she got up... She could hardly contain herself. Lol We hit the road at 12:00... picked up the friends in our rental Chevy Suburban and headed for Miami. The Suburban was great for the 7 of us.   We had the perfect amount of room for all of our luggage.  Would we have enough luggage room for 7 days?  Not 100% sure... 😀 The drive was good. We took the Turnpike straight down to Miami.  We stopped for some time at the rest stop for gas and sandwiches at the Earl of Sandwich.  We sang, danced, and slept of course along the way... as well as  watched a video of one of our past cruises on the entertainment system!
